Who we are
This website, casathassos.com, is run by Casa Thassos, Neo Limeni 1, Thassos Island, 64004 (the "data controller"). If you have any question about your personal data, email info@casathassos.com or call +30 697 408 1366.
What this website does
Casa Thassos presents handpicked holiday accommodation in Thassos. We do not take bookings or payments on this website. When you press Book Now you go to the booking system of HotelPoint, which handles availability, booking and payment under its own terms and privacy policy.
Information we collect
When you send us a message
If you use our enquiry form we receive your name, email address, and anything else you choose to tell us (phone number, dates, number of guests, your message). We use this only to answer you and help you plan your stay. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible booking, and our legitimate interest in replying to you.
We keep enquiries for 12 months and then delete them automatically, unless they become part of a booking.
When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email
We receive the details you share with us and use them to reply. WhatsApp is run by WhatsApp Ireland Limited under its own privacy policy.
When you browse the website
Our web server keeps short technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and to keep the site running. These are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time.
We count visits to pages and clicks on buttons such as Book Now in a privacy-friendly way: we only add one to a daily total. We do not store your IP address for this, we do not set any cookie, and we cannot identify you.
Cookies and maps
We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work. Interactive maps are loaded from CARTO and OpenStreetMap only if you allow them, because those services receive your IP address. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Who we share data with
- Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its data in the European Union.
- Our email provider, which delivers enquiry emails to us.
- The owner or manager of the property you ask about, only when needed to answer your question.
We never sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, object to how we use it, or receive a copy. Email info@casathassos.com and we will reply within one month.
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
Security
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to enquiries is limited to the people who run Casa Thassos, protected by passwords and optional two-step login.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
